COVID-19: New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern reassures children that Easter bunny is an essential worker

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has warned citizens to stay home during the long Easter weekend. The country has nearly 6,000 confirmed infections and 48 fatalities. There was a sharp drop in the rate of new cases after strict social distancing measures were imposed. Meanwhile, in New Zealand, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has reassured children that the Easter bunny is considered an essential worker during the month-long nationwide lockdown. The government has extended its state of emergency for another seven days.

Jacinda Ardern is such a great PM for New Zealand. She remembers that she also governs over the children of the country. I have great amounts of respect for her. Such an amazing role model.
