Lecrae, pastor Jenkins thank you for your conversation . I heard this message a few days after I made my first layaway payment for an expensive bracelet I desired .

After I heard the podcast I was so conflicted as I realized I was chasing a particular image and I thought I would feel happy if I wore all this jewelry, people would respect me or at least what I was wearing. Because honestly deep down, I have low self esteem .

I paid around 500 dollars out of 3700 dollars as a deposit payment for a gold bracelet I wanted but I've decided to cancel it even though I will lose this deposit payment .
Gold can be a good investment but not when you are in debt.
I will use this money I was going to spend to pay off all the credit card debt I owe and invest time and effort into my health (physical, spiritual, mental) instead of just wearing expensive jewelry and clothes .
