Jon Hamm is a very insightful, dignifying and humble.  Don Draper will always be top tier character.  It is nice to respect the actor like the character...but in different ways...

My favorite scene from the whole series was when Roger walked into Layne's office drink in hand, glanced over his shoulder at the Knight's armor in the corner and says, "Do you ever get three sheets to the wind and try that thing on?". Roger was my favorite character and he always had the best lines. John Slattery was overshadowed by Jon Hamm's "handsomeness", which was kind of a running joke/theme in the series and with the cast.

I sense that he's very intelligent and deep, very handsome - which can be a detriment, as beautiful people may not be taken as seriously - at first. Then you realize he has everything, and then some. The je ne sais quoi ... that he is aware of, but doesn't want to focus on it, as it would ruin it. Also, a bit shy maybe until you get to know him, then he can be a crazy, funny guy. That's how he seems to me.

I listen to a lot of lo-fi hip-hop mixes here on youtube & one of the common sound bites that I hear in- between the music is Don's tangent from s1 e1 about how love was invented by guys like him to sell nylons. Every time I hear it, I think
"God, I hate Don Draper"
then, the next day, my suggestions are filled with clips like these. As if YouTube is using my giant crush on Jon Hamm against me.
