The problem with a lot of Nick shows being weird and creepy was the producer, Dan Schneider. He produced Victorious, Sam and Cat, iCarly, Zoe 101 and loads of others. Dan was creepy towards the young actresses so they fired Dan. That's part of why Jeannette had such a hard time on her shows

It sucks because icarly is actually such a great show. It’s been my favorite for years, but it’s not the show itself that is bad, it’s Dan and anyone else that put ANYONE in harm. It makes it hard to watch. And it makes they show hard to watch no matter how much I love it.

Look, i love the show ICarly and those of similar make. They were such a huge basis for my childhood, and i still rewatch them whenever i want some genuine nostalgia. I also know that Dan Schnieder was a giant f*#king creep. I feel sorry for the young actors/actresses that had to suffer through him. However i have intentionally stayed away from things like Jenette Mcurdy's book because i dont want the show I love so much to be tainted in my memory. Does that make me a horrible selfish person?
