Members of parliament are debating whether to legalise assisted dying, before voting on the bill later in the day.

Many gave emotional speeches referencing personal stories and those of their constituents.

Doctors, courts etc never make mistakes.

I think there’s probably a case for allowing it. But I do know there’s a massive court backlog, and while right to get a judges review, it might not be viable to add more work on top right now.

If it passes, it might be prudent for a couple of years delay after the bill passing before it’s implemented.

I had a friend who had cancer, when he took his last breath was in complete agony, all he wanted was his pain and life to end his way his choice, I'm for this I hope it's passed

If it’s a free vote then it should be a referendum, MPs I don’t want voting on this the public should.

If people wish to die then let them ..all we do is look at other countries who do this see how they safeguard from forced etc and implement all Best practices and take from there.

Should have the option to withdraw treatment if whatever they do will not have a positive outcome
Even assist them on these way without fear of prosecution

Not having a legal route to ease your own suffering through assisted dying is truly medieval. How we are only having this debate in 2024 is beyond me.
