Google should allow gesture support for third-party launcher. Most of us now habituated with those full screen gesture,
That's why navigate with button in third party launcher is a bit of a hustel.

Nova 8 is a end of really great launcher, it's a really sad news because some algorithm company is buying Nova launcher.

It has been purchased by a shady data analytics company. It's such a sad ending to such a nice app.
But eitherway thanks to mean little Google, launchers had already gotten uncomfortable to use, because google is refusing to fix a bug related to launchers working with gesture navigation.

"Material You" theming on the Nova 8 is a great option for people those who will not get the Android 12 Update pushed to their Stock Android devices or for those as well who all are using a phone with custom skin.

RIP Nova, the analytics company will somehow have a sneaky way to collect your data no matter what they portray it to be on the surface. They aren't fools to buy the launcher off for a feel good.

That app, no matter how good it is, even though I'm a paid Pro, as soon as I found out who it was sold to, it's a serious security risk, especially for personal information... Uninstall now.

A bad news though, nova launcher has been accuired by a analytic firm called Branch and they might be bringing some changes to it in future.
There might be some changes regarding how they collect users data too.
Lets see how it goes.

One thing I don't think I've seen anyone talk about is the app closing animation, at least on my Pixel. It actually matches the app location for once, and it doesn't just fade into the icon, if you know what I mean. It is extremely similar to the animation found in the Pixel Launcher. Same with widgets

For me the widget drawer was a bummer. If you had a lot of widget, searching for a good match for your home screen setup will be a tedious task since you have to click the drop-down menu first to see the widget collection you had
Besides that everything is cool tho, especially those theme settings
