With this mashup I was trying to have two themes. One is Adele symbolically passing the torch to Angelina, so with Adele we just get the scenes of her singing and driving away. The other is having the meaning of lyrics like “I was just a child” and “go easy on me” be about Angelina’s career rather than Adele’s divorce. So that’s why the young Angelina scenes are in there. Let’s go easy on her! Also, let’s go easy on Adele! She is a great singer and songwriter and Angelina admires her..

Chris, this is not a mashup. This is a piece of art. The juxtaposition of Angelina and Adele at different phases of their careers is stunning and brilliant. I got the impression from this song also that this is autobiographical. That as a child, she didn't have time to choose. So go easy on her as she finds herself. We always talk about Angelina's ability to express emotion for adult events she has not experienced and how incredible that is. The fact here is that she has experienced it but in her own way in her own life. This masterpiece is magic.
