Hello, i lived in qatar up until last September (2022), this is completely true but also some hotels do offer bottle service for your rooms and a lot of restaurants serve alcohol where you only need to be 21+ years old to order it off their menu.

the amount of women who have stated how much safer and comfortable their viewing experience has been and many have attributed it to the ban on alcohol.
