My husband was named Allen Dale I had never heard this before. It just showed up a few weeks ago on my phone by another singer.

At the press conference, a reporter asked, “How does it feel to be the best guitarist in the world?” Hendrix shrugged and replied, “I don’t know, ask Johnny McAvoy.”

As a young boy of about 5 years of age I fully blamed Johnny McEvoy, for his songs The Boston Burglar, Mursheen Durkin etc, for preventing my great favorite rocker of the time Jimi Hendrix & his Experience records from being played constantly on Irish radio, I found it hard to understand why that this other brilliant Irish man music was not played for at least 30 minutes of every hour of every day of the year. Yes Jimi had Irish blood and Irish roots Hendrix always took great pride and talked about his Irish ancestry through his paternal great-great grandfather, Moore, Jimmi was also part Cherokee and with a mix of African heritage. If Jimmi was around to day he would be very happy to confirm that what I said is true. Jimi been the very fine and great gentleman, he would not head a gruge against Johnny McEvoy like I did and he would have told me to be nice and forging to Johnny McEvoy. but I cant when I listen to some of Jimis songs like Jimi Hendrix songs Purple Haze, Along, The Watchtower, Hay Joe, Foxy Lady, The Wind Cries Mary, Fire, Red House, Little Wing, Voodoo Child, Crosstown Traffic, Angel, Manic Depression, Castles Made Of Sand, Stone Free, Wild Things,
