This guy has a great voice for radio! Thanks for the tips. I’m surprised what didn’t make the list is - shaking the electrode after rinsing and before putting it in the next solution. I admit it’s tempting at times to minimize residual transfer of fluids.

Great review of the possible mistakes. Thanks. We can have no freedom to make any of these mistakes since the price of a new electrode is going to the sky.

Hi. Recently bought hi98108 tester, control and packing date is 2018.03.13. What is expiry date for this electrode? I've stored it in Hanna buffer 7.01 for at least 10 hours. Readings are unstable and iratic.

hi sir we have Hanna HI 5222 There is some issue from slop calculation when we manual calculate its slop be come under range(BS 1377-3:2018 95% to 105%) but auto slop calculation is out of rang we are using stranded buffer (4.01, 7.01, 9.18)
( 3.98, 7.04, 9.19, ) ±0.05 our buffer value. slop 100.6653 but in device showing 85.7 % please guide us.

Is the storage solution for pH- and ORP elecrode the same or different?
If it's different, what can be the storage solution?

Heard you can add 1g of potassium chloride per 100ml ph 4 buffer to make 3 molar KCL storage solution? Also read for 1-3 molar you need 75g-223g potassium chloride (KCL) to make 1 litre storage solution. Also heard you can use distilled water with KCL to make 3 molar storage solution? Would love the answer to how much Potassium chloride you need?1g KCL per 100ml ph buffer 4 or 22g KCL per 100ml buffer 4 or distilled water? Even heard you can get away with brand of no salt salt like Morton branded kcl salt which people with high blood pressure use? 223g of kcl seems like a lot per 1 litre of buffer 4 though. Would very mild washing up liquid in water be fine with soft tooth brush be okay for cleaning? Would this damage the gel on the outside of the glass probe?
