हर रोज़ एक ही टॉपिक पे बात कर कर के दिमाग ख़राब कर दिया है 😂हमारे मरने के बाद आयेगा AMCA 😂

Keep confidence in our scientist and support kaveri project. No country can give perfect machine in one go. In the past also whenever we have no option of foreign purchase our scientist have delivered.

M-88 engine Thrust - 75Kn
kaveri engine Thrust - 73Kn
Rafale C Max takeoff weight - 24.5 Tons
TEDBF/ORCA Max Takeoff weight - 26 Tons
If we can reduce weight of Tedbf by 1.5Tons and achieve the Kaveri engine thrust ~ 75Kn
We will not need F414 engines anymore.

Nice topic with out any conclusion. The saying Bird in the hands is more worth than bird in the bushes. Any development work should be step by step. Gain experience and then move ahead. They should attempt TEDBF and ORCA first then AMCA.

this is what I was shouting since Project TEDBF, ORCA was anounced, ...twin engine evolved KAVERI(50-85KN) for TEDBF & Kaveri will revive, survive, thrive iff this this concept comes in reality, otherwise no funding will leads us to, " forgot about dream of being indipendent for jet engine". beg for TOT and developement of new core with other nations and beg for property rights till next life.

India should go all out for the development of the dry Kaveri engine as well as with afterburner. Only then can we seriously plan further variants of Tejas, TEDBF, ORCA and/or AMCA. Collaboration with Rolls Royce & Safran should go on simultaneously as well. Stress on development of metallurgy is absolutely necessary irrespective of whichever engine is chosen.

Last 10 years we wasted our time in developing our own engines for our aircrafts. It is difficult to understand why enough money/funds were not allotted. We cannot depend any foreign suppliers as they never wanted India to be atmanirbhar in engines.

Yeah, AF ORCA will be lighter, as a layman I can see feasibility and later we can improve in tranches, it is important to show confidence in your capabilities. Remember how people rated our gnats against sabers, overthinking is a problem too.

ORCA will weigh over 1 ton less than the TEDBF just on the basis of removing the re-enforced landing gear needed for aircraft carrier deck landings.
That makes the Thrust-to-Weight ratio of the (lower thrust) Kaveri viable for the ORCA.
Even more so if other reductions in parts (e.g. hinged wings) and arrestor landing hook.. etc can be removed for the land based ORCA.

ORCA also does not need to carry as many drop tanks nor take off in a very short distance further reducing the need for a super high thrust engine.
It may not be able to super-cruise on Kaveri, but that's a compromise.

The building of TEDBF with ORCA is also the most cost effective solution.

Finally, nothing says that 414 engines will not meet the same fate as 404.
The IP from the 414 engine is not being transferred which means India cannot use manufacturing processes for that engine in Kaveri (or any other engine) without US permission.

This is happening because our defence minister is not from a defence background it is the same with sports. Top positions are taken by netas who have zero expertise in the domain. I don't know when this stupidity will end.

HAL should be Privatisation, India government always slow to take decision have no practical experience। Not serious।

We're talking, talking, talking, but no one is building anything in the lab. That's the sad part. 🙄

Rafale M-88 engine gives 75kn trust, kaveri is 72kn trust, let’s get kaveri to generate 80kn and immediately start prototype of tedbf and integrate 2 kaveri on tedbf n start trails

This makes the most sense. Use Kaveri + TEDBF/Orca

Great idea. Infact India Airforce shouldn't fly much with one engine it's good to always use 2 engines for more thrust and payload. As Indian defense fan it seems TDBEF looks great if you reduce its size to 14 or 15 m and put 2 engines it will be powerful than current Tejas MK2 configuration. Somewhat India should take support and increase Kaveri thrust to 50KN(Dry)-75KN(Wet) or 60KN-85KN thrust minimum. 😇😇😇😀😃😄

अगर कावेरी 90 kn thrust (max) generate कर लेता अभी तक तो ORCA के लिए perfect engine होता

I believe ORCA will be a great replacement for SU-30 MKI in the future. Till 2040 I think, MK1A, MK2 and Amca can handle
