Yes sir, U R right until you start ( java.util.concurrent.locks package) concept, synchronization keyword is HERO, but after started this concept synchronization keyword is BEST RECOMMENDED IS LOCKS COMPARE TO SYNCHRONIZATION.

Sir Thank you for uploading these videos. I was trying to understand this chapter from the book. But couldn't get it. You make it seem so simple. I have a doubt regarding the wait(long timeout) method. Even if we call say, wait(2000) the thread just gets back to runnable state instead of waiting state. But the thread still can't get back to running state unless the lock is acquired. Then what is the point of wait(long timeout) method? Can you please explain?

Hi sir,
by calling wait() method we can specify the time to wait a thread right like wait(10000),
but in this class you said like "There is no way to specify maximum waiting time for a thread to get lock so that thread will wait until getting the lock which may creates performance problem which may cause dead lock".
Is it correct or not what i am thinking.
