HONDA MONKEY UPDATE + POV RIDE

Welcome back to another video! Got a little update for ya, i just hit my first 700 miles on the bike as well as did my first oil change. Gave some final thoughts on the bike as well as a POV ride to my local lake. If anyone has any advice for practicing wheelies for the first time please let me know! Also, when should i do my next oil change? Do i need to get a new oil filter for the next one? To pop a wheelie, pull in the clutch and hold for 30 seconds, at the same time twist throttle to full, at the end of the approx 30seconds pop the clutch, this will make a great wheelie, good luck😜

I just got a 2023 with the same color scheme as yours about 4 hours ago. I like it a lot, it feels like a luxury version of my ruckus. All I want to change is the plaid seat to black.

I'm in the UK, and the Scorpion exhaust is the real deal on my Monkey 2023! Great sound, then you can take out the baffles if you like, for more!! Amazing!

My “PRIMATE” (Alabama license) is 2 months and 2000 miles now. Same mods as yours plus a Pyramid Windshield, and Givi Trekker aluminum top case plate and Givi 42L box in aluminum.
Getting consistent 145 mpg after an on—->off throttle brake-in like we do on race cars and using Shell V-Power 93 unleaded pump gas.
Everybody needs one of these to fill in the everyday rider’s gap with a BMW touring machine. 😊

Have my Monkey and my neighbor made a decal for me, now it reads Thunder Monkey. A satire because it is so small. I too really enjoy this bike as I am 80 and this fits the bill for me. Good video. A word of advice, start doing wheelies and then post a video of you going over backwards and 55 in a 45 is a big fine. Ride safe

No disrespect but take it for someone that's been riding a few decades with well over 100, 000 Miles Riding two wheels.
I wouldn't be so worried about doing wheelies at this point but you might want to practice shifting smoothly through the gears. That transmission and your chain and sprockets is not going to last long if you keep riding it like you are in this video. Even if it's under warranty it sucks not having a bike to ride because the transmission is being worked on at the shop. One other thing if there's ever a time to change the oil filter it's the first service you want to get ANY KIND OF METAL SHAVINGS from the BREAK-IN PERIOD out of that Engine then install your new filter and new spark plug Lube up your chain every few hundred miles and adjust it as needed & your good to go. 👍
