Nice sample. Big time risk growing durum wheat in eastern areas due to weather issues nice to see it work out for you.

You can upgrade the drive pulley for the unload auger to same as the 1100. We did it to our 1000’s to speed it up. Think it was around $1200 at the time we didn’t.

Dessicating canola is a crap shoot on timing for combining.
Last year we had some that was over 21 days since sprayed.
Straw was still green.
As for the chopping of straw.
The fine cut straw is still organic and far easier to manage than long straw.
Unless your going to harrow it twice.
Long straw keeps the field wet and soil cold.

What odds of finding that big rock, should go buy a lottery ticket now. Nice crop.

That rock was a very lucky find, would have been an expensive fix otherwise!

Google says the average U.S. yield for Durum is 40 bu/acre.
Good stuff 🌾
Wouldn't a finer chopped straw dust turn into organic matter faster than bigger pieces considering the organisms could process it faster?

Mike, have you seen the AFX 11 Combine welkers are trying, it also can use a 60' header.

Hi Mike, I’m new to your channel. Which part in SW Saskatchewan do you farm at? I think you are AWESOME & AMAZING and THANK YOU FOR FEEDING THE WORLD. Wishing you and your farmers a safe rest of the harvest season 🌾🙏🏻🌾

In all the places you stopped it was right in front of a “guard breaking rock” that’s some divine intervention. 😂
