The shareholder meeting had lots of news, but Elon clearly wanted to put Optimus front and center. In this video Scott Walter slows down the Optimus video and shows us what many probably missed.

I bought a 360-degree camera on my last snowboarding vacation, and I must say I'm blown away every time I view the videos - it's like being on the slopes again, except it's not snowing and 20F. I mounted the camera on a telescoping rod that the camera removed on the videos - you can't tell it's me holding the camera - it looks like a drone is following me.

I wonder why robots don't use 360-degree vision. I guess it would have to be mounted on the top of it's "head"
This is one of many things the robot industry seems to be doing wrong, at least to me.

When Optimus walked by the bikes I was hoping it would ride off on one.

I expect the backpack has a FSD computer and supporting power pack in it

Could the backpack be an Optimus "chest", housing the computer and battery system? Obviously, some form of machine learning input is being performed. World the Optimus FSD computer be the correct "engine" to capture that training? Or would a more general purpose computer be better?

Date of the shareholder meeting was set last year... so it's not in response to any 2023 information or logistic developments

I imagine they will do what they did with the cars, when all the issues can be resolved with OTA updates they will ramp up production big time.

Fun place to be working. Have not seen optimus engineers that could not be my grandchildren. I doubt I could keep up with them.

I’m sure in time they will improve on the gate and balance. Bot will have to have some form of agility, not saying they need to jump and skip around like Boston Dynamics, but I’m saying the world both inside and outside is not completely flat smooth and without odd angles and even minor obstacles. Bot will need a better lift of its feet and to the same degree they put emphasis on wrists and finger movement / dexterity, they need to focus more on the ankle and foot and uneven surfaces.
