I use the plopper as a search bait...my hook up ratio isn't very good with it for some reason. But as soon as I find them I just follow with a swimbait or something with a better hook up ratio. I had a northern jump 4 feet out of the water blasting the plopper...fun bait.

Stupid question, have you tried the knock off whoppers? I'm just curious about that because I got some off damn Amazon and I didn't know that they were knock offs. And would you recommend painting the bottoms a neon color to attract the fish?
