This was my introduction to Kraftwerk back in '75. After listening to Autobahn I never looked back. This album is way ahead of its' time.

I just dug up this cool information, it's something that I didn't even know about till now, and I've listened to this song many times; The Autobahn is the federal controlled-access highway system in Germany. The official German term is Bundesautobahn (abbreviated BAB), which translates as "federal motorway". The literal meaning of the word Bundesautobahn is "Federal Auto(mobile) Track". German Autobahnen are widely known for having no federally mandated speed limit for some classes of vehicles. However, limits are posted (and enforced) in areas that are urbanised, substandard, accident-prone, or under construction. On speed-unrestricted stretches, an advisory speed limit (Richtgeschwindigkeit) of 130 kilometres per hour (81 mph) applies. While driving faster is not illegal as such in the absence of a speed limit, it can cause an increased liability in the case of a collision (which mandatory auto insurance has to cover); courts have ruled that an "ideal driver" who is exempt from absolute liability for "inevitable" tort under the law would not exceed Richtgeschwindigkeit. A 2017 report by the Federal Road Research Institute reported that in 2015 70.4% of the autobahn network had only the advisory speed limit, 6.2% had temporary speed limits due to weather or traffic conditions, and 23.4% had permanent speed limits. Measurements from the German State of Brandenburg in 2006 showed average speeds of 142 km/h (88 mph) on a 6-lane section of autobahn in free-flowing conditions.

Ein erster Schritt aus dem Stigma Krautrock...unglaublich kraftvoll und phantasiebildend... perfekt für ne lange, langweilige Autobahnfahrt ( z.B. A 5 von Darmstadt Richtung Freiburg )

Truly mesmerizing piece of music, and one that's effect is heightened by the vinyl experience. Once you know this music, it's rather difficult to drop the needle and not give up the next 20+ minutes and let it drift through you. I just purchased the "Radio Activity" vinyl and I expect I'll eventually own the whole Kraftwerk output in vinyl. The slight differences of these remastered sets are certainly not unwelcome (and I'm usually quite the purest). Thanks for posting this magnificent composition and giving it to us in the clean clear rich audio it deserves!  WOW

Yo sigo batayando para conseguir este tema ya ke cuando tenía 11anos yo se lo escuchaba a mi papasito hermoso cuando ponía su vinilo pero k se llama Jugo de Hits pero no recuerdo ke volumen era ya ke son varios volúmenes y además por si fuera poco lo ocuparon para un comencial de una firma de zapatos ke anunciaba disfrazado de un indinjente, nuestro keridisimo Manuel Baldes mejor conocido como el loco Baldes y el IVA caminando sobre una carretera asiendo alucion, alo ke anunciaba ke eran justo esos zapatos aaahhhh ke recuerdos y solo por eso seguiré en mi buskeda de este vinilo 👍👍👍👍👍👍felicidades excelente canal👏👏👏

God I loved this song. Your direct drive tone arm appears similar, except the back, to the one on my Marantz 6300 with adjustable vertical, horizontal, and needle pressure weights. Still have an old 300.00 Empire cartridge I occasionally put on and use. I also have and old Marantz 2285B, dual power supply with a min greatly underrated 85 wpc. (Not equaling the combined wattage of both together the way they do now but seperate.) Coupled with an old Sound Shaper II 24 band graphic equalizer, that thing would kick 120-130 watt Pioneer, Sansui, Sony, and few other receiver's asses. Had to replace one power supply once when it went out in the 90's, took three months to get it from Japan. It is still kicking ass.

I liked that music since 50 years ago. I had this always in my mind when I drove in Malaysia later some years ago from Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur. This about 3 hours trip is exactly what they sing :
grey line, green beside (3 hours Palm tree beside on that way)
Anyway, an epic timeless music for music-lover, but too long for the rest.
