Beauty YouTuber Jessica Pettway Dead at 36

YouTube star Jessica Pettway has died. Per E! News, the beauty influencer's sister, Reyni Brown, confirmed her death on Instagram. She was 36. Jessica announced she was battling stage 3 cervical cancer last year. She is survived by her husband, Michael, and two daughters, Kailee and Zoi Lee.

My dr gave me a pelvic exam for bad period. Go to a female dr and look up everything. Don’t be shy or let them over test you to find the solution. Black women need to be listened to.

How do you misdiagnose something like this? This is outrageous! I think some accountability is lacking here.

I am a cancer survivor and it took three doctors to find out it was cancer. I went to three doctors not affiliated to each other. The last doctor sent to the ER and they discovered a tumor. My insistence and not accepting that everything was ok save my life. Deep inside I felt something was wrong with my body. I was stage two. Please be your best advocate and follow your instincts. Your body speaks and when you are not feeling well the most. Don’t ignore it and listen to your intuition.

Doctors are in the business of making money, although it is called healthcare….. I truly believe the majority of them do not care! We have to learn to advocate for ourselves and To not take whatever answers they try to shove down our throats if something is not right, and you know it, get a second, third and fourth opinion. I’m just now learning who she is in the past few days but she was truly beautiful woman and I am saddened and heartbroken for her daughters, husband and family. My thoughts and prayers are with them at this time. Rest in power, Jessica.
