Elon had it right 7 years ago, these things store your excess solar for use later, can be used in power outages and they went through several versions of this since then and went up in capacity and price. Powerwall+ is out now, 13.5kwh capacity at 8500 dollars. Works great with solar that charges it, grid goes offline instant backup power and you can adjust it to meet your needs, use it as a backup power source only used when grid goes out OR use it to offset power when sun goes down and use battery at night.

The plan is crazy cool. By today's market direction with the NASDAQ, we could see this project become more realistic I would think by (2035.) ??
It would be nice to know the risk assessment. Like the risk of fire control? How do you put a fire like that out if those things blow up?!
