Thank you Dominique, I especially appreciate the discussion around boundaries. In general as women we've been taught that boundaries mean we're being unkind or mean, and we get those messages all the time. For me it's an ongoing process to remind myself that my "no" doesn't mean I'm being unkind. It means I'm settling a boundary in order to care for myself. And a big YES to listening to the body. Nowadays if I walk into a room of people and my belly feels uncomfortable, or queazy, that generally means that crowd is not for me. 🧡

Words for Today:

"We are not machines.
We need rest.
We need time.
We need space.
We need laughter.
We need love. And
Perhaps most importantly,
We need each other."

~ Michell C. Clark

I thought this quote was so timely from todays podcast. Thank you Dominique for inspiring so many of us on your platform!

THANK YOU for doing this episode. This is a "keeper", "rewatch", and "share with others" podcast. The last half was particularly profound for me as I dabble in different areas while I seek to find my purpose at this stage in life. My favorite idea takeaway is "what's next?! ", instead of focusing on the declines. Being reminded that we're wiser, can excited for the future, and choosing to grasp this portion of life by the tail and running with it is a much happier mindset to be in. Makes you wake up with a smile!

Couldn’t agree more with everything said. I’m 41, mom and this is a brilliant summary of the basics of that all women should know over 40! 🌸 Thank you ladies.

Dominique & Courtney -- please consider discussing hearing loss and treatment. Untreated hearing loss does impact quality of life and can contribute to cognitive decline. Two years ago, at 49, I went to the audiologist and he did find that I did have some hearing loss. When I got home I started looking at different types of hearing aids and did order a new phone that would support my hearing aids. The relationship I have with my hearing aids is a net gain, but I don't always love them. I could write a serious diary entry about my experience so far. Suggestion made. :) Thank you!

The pandemic gave me a great chance to reflect on life, and re-engineer it. After careful analysis of many things, I began to remove toxic people/relationships, set my boundaries, created new goals, etc.. Through watching your videos and of the like, I have become a different person: one full of zest and zealness.

Very informative and helpful. My mom didn’t have the info she needed when she went through her change. No one including me didn’t understand. I feel so bad now that her family couldn’t identify with her during that time. I just turned 61 and I now feel I can understand what she went through. Thank you again for a great podcast. ❤

❤❤Loved this! You both spoke about things that go thru our minds and just hearing it brought so much relief! Like you don’t feel alone or weird for thinking how we think. Yes these years in our 50s are huge changes but oh so glad to have a forum of woman as yourselves to listen and take the challenges. Whoo hoo! I feel better already. Thank you both and Dominque I pray the Lord continue to bless your broadcasts here on YouTube. With wisdom and love for your girls!❤ thank you 🙏
