no way ppl in the comments think they know more than a keeper that’s been in the prem and national league

You got 6"5 or 6"6 blokes like standing there going, "All the best."😅😅😂😂

It's why it's the perfect place for young keepers to go out on loan to. School of hard knocks.

Having a national league backline vs a PL backline would make a huge difference in how a GK approached the match

he nailed it .
its physical dirty and just raw and 90% of tackles would be straight pl red cards 😂

Facts tho. Remember one guy a few years ago. Played for Oldham. About 6’6 and he tore the liverpool and everton defences to shreds. He just bullied them for 90 minutes.

Just listen to what the man says and stop using fifa knowledge to challenge him, he's right end of.

That's one of the major differences as you go up the leagues right. The standard of defenders increases hugely. By the time you get to the prem the defenders can all pass, are tactically better etc etc. When a team like Leeds gets promoted and doesn't do anything about the defence it sticks out like a sore thumb.

This reminds me of the Barcelona B team. The team is for the youth players to prepare them for the first team and ideally they would play in the second division. But in recent years, they got relegated to a lower division where the teams were more physical and less technique based. It became really hard for the Barca B the to play their style. Barca B were trying to play tiki taka. The opposition would be trying to play rugby.

The quality in front of you makes a big difference as well. When your in the prem you have a top line of defence. On Sunday league you got big Dave who’s hungover 😂

For a second I was imagining all the keepers as outfield players lol Now I’m imagining Martinez as a scrappy CDM and Ederson a silky striker.

I trained as a goal keeper and when I was 13 they moved me up one age group because they said I was good for my age. First practice, I almost got my fingers and nose broken. Those boys, 15 and 16, played for some shitty teams in their village and trust me they were brutal, because those matches were brutal, often ending before the 90 minutes were up, with visiting teams fleeing the scene.

Up to the national league, the main thing teams look for isn’t skill or ability but if you’re big strong and fit. If you’re okay at football but a big strong lad you’ll get surprisingly high up the pyramid.

I must agree, it's fun to see different playstyles though!

I see that in the prem they're all very statistical in how they treat set pieces, thus taking corner short or rarely throwing long. Here in Belgium we genuinely disregard those statistical rules and just go for goal at every chance. In our playoffs we have iirc 45% goals from corners!
