This is a review of the Bugaboo Butterfly compact travel stroller. After reviewing many strollers in this particular category, this may be the best compact travel I've ever tested and rivals my longtime frontrunner – Uppa Minu.

You can find the Bugaboo Butterfly below:

We bought this stroller and we are going to return it. The quality is really nice but there were two deal breakers for us. It was very wobbly (from side to side). Also its very front light so the stroller tilts back with little effort. It's a bit narrower stroller so the stability isn't really there for everyday use. It's not really an issue if you're just using this stroller once in a blue moon. Also the collapsing buttons are pretty bad. It's a cheap mechanism that they definitely saved money on. The minu has a awesome collapsing system that blows the butterfly out of the water. I really think the seat cushion is awesome on the butterfly. We haven't decided which stroller were going to but this one is a 7/10 for us.

I just wanna say I ended up getting the Bugaboo Butterfly after months of debating between BabyZen and Minu 2. This is by far the most in depth and visually striking review I’ve come across. You definitely helped in my decision process. Thanks a bunch!

Very well made. The videography in this is so clean and crisp, making it one of the best detailed videos I've seen of the Butterfly. This video solidified my choice in a compact stroller, so thank you for taking the time to create such a great video and review. Well done!

I bought this pushchair recently and am currently trying to return it to the retailer. We found it had quite a big issue with tipping sideways due to its high centre of gravity and just wanted to share this information as I didn't see anyone mention it in any of the reviews I watched.

If you intend to push it along anything other than perfectly flat even surfaces then I would strongly advise against this pushchair. I never considered sloped driveways, slopes caused by tree roots etc when I was looking at this stroller. I would also say I particularly looked at it because it was one of the larger seats and weight limits for a travel stroller, but when my 11.5kg baby leant to one side whilst we were walking along a perfectly smooth but slightly sloped path, the buggy did tip over. Of course I had hold of the handle bar so no harm done but this happened several times over a 1.6mile round trip. I can only imagine that issue getting worse the bigger your child, and it really pulled on my back and shoulders keeping it upright.

I've been doing a TON of research on compact/travel strollers and the minu v2/butterfly debate went on for months. Your vid is cementing the choice - thank you!

We have a Bugaboo Chameleon 3+ from our first born and now using it for baby number 2. It needed some maintenance that I did myself (remove gunk from the wheels to help it spin freely) and works like new. The butterfly is a no brainer

After traveling with our continent of a stroller recently for our 1 and 3 y/o, we are looking to simplify things with either the Butterfly or Minu. I’ve watched both videos on each one dozens of times and still can’t decide 😆 I’d love to hear your thoughts on the stroller boards on the Minu and Butterfly for an occasional double situation! Keep up the awesome content.

This video makes us glad we went with the Butterfly! Our main stroller is the Cruz V2 but the seat height of the butterfly makes it so appealing.

Which one does your kid feel more comfortable in ... Minu v2 or butterfly ?

The butterfly looks not upright enough
And the peekaboo window would make more sense closest to the handle

But compact fold on the butterfly is defintely better.

We are considering a Butterfly as our everyday stroller. Which would you recommend for someone who lives in a non-walkable city (we get around in the car everywhere but live in a city so don’t have huge open suburban spaces): the Cruz V2 or the Butterfly as an everyday stroller?

What we like about each one so far (based on just watching video reviews online):
For the Cruz V2 we like the bassinet add-on for the first months/year, the bigger storage space and the overall robustness and maneuverability
For the Butterfly: the super light weight and compactness for getting it in and out of the car/apartments, as well as convenience in general especially as the baby grows into a toddler. Also the obvious benefit of it already being overhead bin approved for when we travel.

For both we like the option of attaching a car seat directly on the stroller especially in the newborn/infant phase

So hard to decide!

Thanks for this review! I’m looking at getting this as our full time pram now that I just have one kid in a pram some of the time, downgrading from a city select.

Thanks for doing these reviews! How do you like this comparing to the ergobaby metro plus? And there’s now the ergobaby metro deluxe, will you be making a video review on that stroller?

My daughter hates the angle. She prefers sitting a bit more upright (currently using the bugaboo cameleon).

But i do like the lightweigt of it. So will see
