What is this obsession with Arsenal and how has it got to do with West Ham’s win? To win the ecl, the papa Johns trophy of Europe is not a success compared to playing amazing over a 38 game season, getting into the champs league and performing ti the highest level. I think Arsenal have had a fantastic season in their own right. Both Arsenal and West Ham have progressed to achieve more than both would've expected at the start of the season. No need to compare as they're on different levels.

The 2006 FA cup final put a lot of subsurface trauma into us as a fan base. Those losses hurt for years and years. It becomes somewhat trivial if you're always at the top but many clubs seldom have the platform to taste final success reletive to their means. It is euphoric! 17 years later we finally won the big one.

If you have won the EPL, UCL, UEL, or FA Cup you have had a better season than Arsenal. If you have won a Carabao Cup or UECL and think you have had a better season than Arsenal then enjoy your delusion. Man Utd have had a better season than Newcastle and all clubs below them in table but not better than Arsenal or Man City. West Ham have had a better season than Liverpool and all clubs below them in table but not the top 4.
