Washington University Institute for Surgical Education (WISE)

The Washington University Institute for Surgical Education (WISE) is a 3,400-square foot educational space offering a variety of surgical skills labs and simulation trainings.

Founded in 2001, WISE began as one of the first surgical skills labs in the country. In 2013, WISE was certified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level 1 Accredited Education Institute (ACS-AEI) for surgical education.

Today, WISE hosts close to 1,000 educational events per year for a diverse group of learners from within the medical school, across the region, and programs nationwide.
