My New C128D And C128 Gaming Setup

I still have my C128D, and I am now just getting back trying to find bits and bobs for it... I use to have it running dual monitors 10 1 for dual floppies and CMB HDD, Geos 2 and the FCIII Cartridge heaps of games and business software etc...

A thing of beauty. Love the design of the 128D, though, it's a little cumbersome these days with an Ultimate I/II installed.

It's a bit of a bummer that more C64 games don't support switching the CPU to 2mhz more in the borders - there'd be plenty of games which it'd benefit… and if it were for that, I'd love to hunt one down at some point…

Very nice machine, remember seeing one of these at the local store that sold the Commodore machines, from memory it wasn't that far off from when the Amiga 500 came out.
I have a similar looking Quickshot joystick, but it must be a slightly different model as I am sure it does not click and it has a 2nd set of cables that fit the NES.

I watched part of this earlier (up to the Quickshot Joystick bit) - needless to say I got sidetracked and ordered one lol.  Just watching the rest now.  Really nice pickup of the C128D there.  I never knew that model existed, and I didn't know about that Quickshot either!

Sexy bit of kit, always wanted one. Good choice with your controller and something to show how good it runs in C64 mode, by using hardware banging demos like EOD. cheers.

Hi Mark, I had high hopes for the C128 when I purchased the machine back in the day but unfortunately the machine was very poorly supported by software houses here in the U.K. We used ours in C64 mode 95% of the time. A shame really, wish I hadn't sold it though : (
