I have this exact guitar. I have owned it since 1987. Still sounds better than my 76' Fender Stratocaster. I love the fretboard and unfinished neck. String spacing is a little wider than most which is great for my 56yr old sausage fingers! I love the zero fret and have never had intonation issues.

Got mine for 375$😊. I’m gonna do the deoxit process. It works but no tone pot or tap with the switches. Great guitar

Sweet, I got a 1984 Ibanez roadstar ii series. Tone knob doesnt work. I will try this, as well on a 1999 squier. Thanks for the tip.

… in 86 that edge would have raised Floyd pat font and a raised whammy nut too / after 87 they made them flat like that so strange it’s on an 86 perhaps a replacement

That’s a sweet old Ibby I like it, it’s got a little old Roadstar blended with the S series and the RG with the modern headstock. Is that an early original Edge trem ? I really dig it, looks super clean too. Man 200 is a steal, the bound fretboard and tiny dots look good too, imagine if it weren’t for Vai this could’ve been the Ibanez super Strat instead of the RG series. I prefer the RG but this is a really cool piece of Ibanez history
The more I look at it the better I like it,
The volume knob is way back out of the way and the HSS, someone at Ibanez must’ve been checking out Jake’s Charvels .

Is the Body the same shape as a Joe Satriani?? Or slightly different?

It's kind of hard to tell with the pick guard..
