You're birds are so adorable! I have 2 budgies as well (one named Kiwi after your Kiwi bird and the other is a blue one named Rio). It's funny because as soon as one of them even starts preening, the other one immediately will start preening as well. They copy each other no matter what it is they're doing!

I remember learning as a child (in the 1960s) that when any birds, including budgies, are preening, what they are doing is zipping up the barbs on the feathers. Now I have learned from you some other things they are doing.

This is odd but I’m comparing Kiwi and Pixel’s nails to Munchkin’s nails and it is definitely time for me to get his trimmed. It’s coming up soon. It needs to be done and I absolutely hate it. I have a person I trust but still, the anxiety… I wish there was an easier way. 😢😩
