It isn't merely about s*x. That is just the one point that gets more "air-time."
Some UM churches are openly questioning the deity of Jesus Christ, saying that he was just a "good man." Some even teach that there was no resurrection. If that be so, then why even go to a Christian church? There are religions that teach other things that may be more to your liking.
Some also want to reinterpret the Bible. And if they do, who is "qualified" to do the re-interpretation? We are Wesleyan and stand under the authority of the Bible.

Not possible to live it literally? Good grief... Might as well not call yourself a Christian. And it's not possible for a group of unsaved people. The Holy Spirit changes the man to be able to live the Word of God.

Her problem is that she hasn't been transformed. Simply a blind pastor leading the blind.

If they feel unable to accept all God's children, they need to go. Claiming you love "them" but "they" can't teach or server isn't acceptance.
