People bought homes along the Weber River in a flood zone in Riverdale, in 1983 i remember roads closed by 31st and there were no homes there then, so get ready

On the positive end, The Great Salt Lake has already risen 3 feet. Some of the wettest years, it barely rose at all so groundwater being saturated means that the lake is going to fill multiple feet this year and the wettest year it only rose 3 feet total so this is going to be unprecedented.

It's amazing how surprised these people are by this. I paid big money to waterproof my basement 4 years ago for this exact reason. This is not unexpected.

Yeah, it's coming. We're getting up into the mid '60's this weekend yeah? We're in for a fast run off

I am curious. Does the water released go to the Great Salt Lake or somewhere else?

At least there weren't any homes built in the flood zones.

This fierce rush of water... it would've been more convincing next to a rapid 🤣🤣
