it's outrageous that this beautiful film is not nominated for best picture at this year's Oscars

This is exactly how Orlando Florida is, families living in motels, drugs, children everywhere, the bus stops @ each motel. It's a sad thing to see, and then in the Horizon you see Disney World. It always broke my heart.

This scene beautifully communicates the simple humanity Bobby has and how it translates to how he treats his residents.

This is a film that will live on for a long time. People need to know this film. It speaks volumes. Very unfortunate that the Academy didn't recognize the film or Sean Baker.

I am so glad that I discovered this film. It it a real look at real life with all it's difficulties, disappointments, and emotions. The acting was meticulously wonderful. The characters are relatable because outside of the big houses, fancy cars and well cultured life lives the other side. The struggle, the stress, the meaning of hardship but discovering what's important. Excellent excellent movie !! BRAVO

That scene was so great. Love it when the lady shouts.

This scene he felt like a champion of the people to me. Bobby is a complex character, and the relationship he has with his customers/tenants is based in humanity. He shows up for them, he looks out for them, beyond the role of his job title. I love this movie

Favorite shot. The cinematography and the rhythm of the actors’ movement is so visceral. Great great job cast and crew!!!

What Sean says about the tracking shot of William is exactly what that show made me feel. THATS GOOD STORYTELLING.

Please continue to film in Florida. There's so many places and opportunities to film. This film is definitely a favorite since I'm an actor and a Florida resident as well.

"... story, story and story ..." - this is all that is needed to make a great film, said the Frenchman Jean Gaben ...

I just watched this movie this morning, and I liked it a lot. It was very realistic, and it reminded me of my childhood to a T. But what confused me was there was no plot, there was no ah ah moment, no resolution, nothing. I mean the only part that got me sort of teary eyed was the ending when the little girl started crying to her friend Chancy and that was the only part.
But still it was a good movie.

Despite not getting enough love in the awards circle, it’s kinda neat to see Sean Baker being snapped up by A24 for the distribution of his films (TFP and Red Rocket).

I lived in a budget hotel on Florida. I would have loved to have a nice manager like him but no.

I mostly liked the movie, but I thought later that I would like a movie where Bobby is the main character.
