Man, your efficiency is crazy.

"Think less, build more" I'm going to make this my motto.

Marc, you probably don't even realise of how much impact your videos have on fellow devs, including me. Having a living example like you, that life actually can be the way we want, keeps me motivated to take from time everything I'm possibly able to. Wish you even more heights!

Thanks for the reminder to just build simple products to ship fast; I needed it. I so easily get sucked into bigger ideas with more and more features. I build fast, but never ship. Time for that to change.

I appreciate your strategy to minimize time-to-market and obtain quick feedback, allowing to focus on what truly matters to the user.

Very interesting Marc !

Personnaly, I usually get my ideas when reading a book, or when I do nothing.

But here is the thing. I get new ideas only when I take action. When I wasn't programming, i didn't get ideas and felt very bad.

So guys, as Marc mentionned in the video, how can you start (because to take action you have to have an idea) ?
Ask yourself what do you like, and start a project about it. Try to make it a SaaS or not, but start by something that is genuinely interesting to you.

I just launched my first Saas product.

A no-code resume and portfolio maker with Live Site and Platform Previews.

Thanks sir for the tips and inspiration.

The way he's describing how to get ideas is the same way the founder of Amplitude, Spenser Skates described how he got his idea, and Webflow founder Vlad Magdalin too. Also, Rob Walling of Microconf says this all the time. That's how I know this video has so much value. Great content !!

Thanks Mark. I am working on 2 SaaS products where one is directly inspired by you. Have full time job so may take ~4 months to build.

What stops me from launching anything is that I'm worried about commitments or responsibilities. After all, I store customer data. To what extent am I liable if this data is deleted? Is it because the database provider has made a mistake or I have installed a bug? After all, someone has paid money for this service. Are there any tips or things to bear in mind in this regard so that I don't score an own goal? I don't want to be legally prosecuted.

Thanks always for your videos Marc! You have inspired me to learn React which I have been wanting to learn for a while but have been putting off. I started posting study session content while I learn React to hold myself accountable and I have been getting feedback that the videos have helped some people to stay focused and productive together too which is a big plus. ☺

So basically when there is a gold rush, you are selling shovels (tools for startups) 😃

The just build and ship tip to get ideas was pretty good. I've stuck in a rut for a long time with not being able to come up with ideas. About 4 days after the video and I'm about to launch an emberassingly low functionality mvp app soon that I've had on the shelf for months, just so I can get it off and move on to the next project.

I love your journey so far, and your landing pages are killer! 🎯

Solid advice!
Just what I need to look over as I'm building the landing page for my potential startup lol

This is great advice. People sometimes they need to come up with the greatest idea of all times, but nothing like just build something and have your friends to use it, once that app is out there your very friends who used the app and liked it will start giving you other ideas for features or other products to develop.

"Think less, build more" - guys stick to that, i wasted so much time on projects, and features and not even finishing the project. this week i launched 1 app, 1 portfolio 1 saas in the making. all just because of throwing away my complicated mind and build. thank you marc

The hardest part for me is providing an intuitive frictionless UI. I always go super over the top with multiple pages that dont need to exist. So now im just tearing down a bunch of UI and putting them on the dashboard on a single screen. I probably wasted 2-3 weeks of dev time working on pointless components + styling & design. Meanwhile my backend logic & infrastructure took less than that.

Anyone have any good actual UI "templates", I see a lot of them for generic dashboards, but not for more nuanced things like file uploads followed by text inputs in multistep forms.
