The fact they decided to make a Backrooms video just to show off the introduction of Mingle, the X and O team split and The Officer is so cool, it also explains a lot of what the inside of the facility looks like without showing off too much of the main rooms. Would love to see this again for Season 3 or even another series!

This looks like an amazingly well done render with Blender and/or VR headset-like movement. The texture in the very first room/dorm hall gave me strong video game vibes, plus the camera specifically avoids "capturing" any angle that would reveal the hands of the capturer, specifically whenever the POV interacts with doors and buttons. The uncanny shadows on the pastel staircases also hints at the fact that it's possibly rendered, but this is so well done that none of it really matters - it's immersive as is.
