10-yr-old Dianna was so hopeful that the metal was a meteorite. Grown-up Dianna did some calculations. A 300g piece of metal, if it didn't burn up (which it definitely would) or melt in the atmosphere would still have about 50 sticks of dynamite worth of energy when it hit the ground. Foiled!
