It's close because half the country has lost their minds

A close race is NOT exciting. It's worrisome. I can't stand it when the news channels treat this like some sort of sporting event. VOTE folks!!

Amazing - A lifelong criminal justice officer is in a campaign against a lifelong criminal and the race is close! What the hell is wrong with us?

The fact that this race is so close speaks to the dystopian state of this nation.

The difference may very be that most younger people do not respond to pollsters.

The fact that it's close is pretty depressing. This should be night and day.

The polls dont walk to the voting booths and make cross on the ballot. So vote folks, democracy is at stake!

I wouldn't call it "exciting", I would call it "terrifying". US democratic institutions depend on one single point!

For a single point to make such a massive difference shows the flaw in the Electoral College absurdity.

“Exciting” is grossly detached language.

“Nerve wracking” would sound less gross

I live in California, and it saddens me that my vote means so much less than a vote in a battleground state. Dump the electoral college.

Also not seen before: 90% of US mainstream media campaigns hard for one candidate.

Can't believe they're still treating Trump like a regular candidate.

How a traitor to America can get even one vote will always be a baffling thing to me

crazy how a criminal is still allowed to run the highest position in the country and possibly one of the most influential in the world

Keep in mind that, on average, some 55-65% of eligible voters (which is 80%) go vote. That means that less than 25% of the populace actually votes for Trump. Don't let a minority turn your country into despair. An overwhelming majority would vote for democracy, decency, jobs and against corporate tax cuts. Go out and register, go out and vote. Vote country before party. Vote Blue.

When all former Presidents and Vice Presidents including your own Vice President thinks you should NEVER come close to the nuclear codes again you should probably never come close to the nuclear codes again.

As a Dane, it is so unbelievably difficult to understand why so many people vote for Trump, he is crazy

Thanks to the insane persistence that we keep the electoral college.
