That statement by the President, contrary to his aplogists makes him directly complicit in the killing of the ABS-CBN franchise. Although, Philippines' democracy remains feudal and in hands of powerful oligarchies, it is unreasonable to single out ABS when all the other oligarchs that he purports are still around. If there are sectors the President should focus on to dismantle, it should be the hypocrisy of a system that feigns to ran after oligarchs, when they themselves powerfully wield on power.
