One of my biggest problems with this version of “The Waiting Room” is the costumes. You don’t run into the ER already in your funeral attire. You run in in what you already have, frantic and terrified.

The ALDC waiting room was way better, not because of the dancing but Bc of how the girls SOLD the story. They painted an entire picture with their emotions, and even tho it did lack actual dance steps, the story and emotion made it an amazing piece. Professional dances generally have less actual dance steps and more storytelling movements. The only reason I could tell BDA's was a waiting room is Bc if the title and maybe the chairs. Abby choreographed a story and that's the point of the waiting room, not about steps.

Honestly Abby had every right to complain about them not being able to set up six chairs because they brought out a gigantic plastic bubble and had no problems with it

I find it hilarious that everyone was trying to play off the disqualification like Abby was trying to sabotage them or the competition was being unfair. The rules always outline how much prop set up time you get without prior organization. Either tell the competition you need to be scheduled for set up time, or practice your set up to be within the limits. Setting up those chairs should be as simple as each assistant/stage parent/whoever takes two chairs, carries them out, and sets them up. Shouldn't even take two minutes. If you didn't rehearse that, that's your fault. Capability of your dancers doesn't negate the necessity of following the rules. Honestly, assuming everything really did go down like that, they shouldn't have been allowed to dance. The rules are there at competitions because it's already three 16+hr days. Don't hold everyone else up unnecessarily.

Abby’s waiting room was 1000 times better than Jeannette’s. Abby’s costumes Sit in more with the dance and Jeanette had all black clothes on we really didn’t go well with it and the chairs in Jeanettes dance didn’t really match up with an actual reading room Abbys had chairs that looked like you were in a waiting room. Even though that Abby‘s dance didn’t have a lot of dance steps she still

i mean, the chairs were kind of Jeanette’s fault. it took her like five minutes to put out six chairs on a stage, not to mention, with the help of two other people. and then, they all start complaining that it’s a ridiculous rule
