Gareth Southgate has released the England squad for Euro 2024! Southgate has dropped Jack Grealish and Harry Maguire from the England squad for the Euros in Germany! Should Jarrod Bowen be in there ahead of Grealish? Should Branthwaite and Maguire have gone to the Euros 2024 with England?

Only thing I think is wrong is that Toney is in there. You do not need a third striker when you have Kane and Watkins

Thing is it is a great squad selection by Southgate, but has he learnt from his previous mistakes when we inevitably face a France or a Portugal, only time will tell but this is his best squad selection ever IMO. Fair play to him.

i’ve seen people say it’s mad to take shaw and not maguire when they’re both injured, makes perfect sense in my head. We have enough centre backs who are similar level to maguire and have sharpness from the end of the season and training, if maguire came back for the quarters u wouldn’t play him anyway cus he’d be off the pace and he’s not the fastest as it is. As for shaw, our only other left back options were chillwell and mitchell who aren’t good enough so we’ll play trippier left back and gomez will be the backup until shaw is fit then we can utilise shaw off the bench for the remaining games if we get there

He got it almost right. Should’ve picked Branthwaite over Guehi & Hall over Shaw, but otherwise he’s got it spot on. For me the jury is still out on whether Watkins can deliver at international level, but this summer is his big chance.

it’s a good thing that he’s done it, also it’s his last tournament most likely so after being safe for so many year he may aswell freestyle it and see what happens, even it we go out in the group he’s been the most successful england manager in decades with where he’s got, then there’s also the chance that all the young hungry players turn up and do well. Over the years we’ve become predictable so with these younger players with more flair it’s less predictable which is good
