My mother in law would've had to deal with how my house looked. HOWEVER, I was so blessed with the best mother in law. She always told me not to worry about what my house looked like because she wasn't there to see my house but to see see the family. She was such a wonderful blessing. She told me that I wasn't my husband's mother so I didn't need to act like it. I had her for 20 years before the Alzheimer's took over. I still called her and she would pray for me for another 4 years. We had her 3 more years but she didn't know us most of the time. I still want to call her every once in a while.
My Mom was the one who wanted to make sure i was taking care of my husband properly.

This video reminds me of when my grandparents would show up unexpectedly from over 500 miles away. No notice that they were on their way. They called us from a gas station when they got into our city. They asked how to get to our house. My parents went to meet them at the gas station to show them the way to our house. Before our parents left to meet them we told them to take the scenic route to our house to give us kids time to tidy up the house. 😂

My mother in law was the best. When my husband was in the service and we were newlyweds she whispered to me “oh honey don’t try and wash those uniforms yourself, I just take them to the cleaners and say extra extra starch and she winked at me. I loved and admired my mother in law. I miss her every day. I still after 15 years go to call her and ask her something. Rest in peace Mom❤❤❤

I think it is very cute. It illustrates aspects of family and cultural dynamics, different and alike from ours.
