Kameko's got 'Epsom Derby' written all over him. Winning the Guineas was a nice bonus. Pinatubo had every chance. He hasn't trained on. MASSIVE lay at Royal Ascot!

After watching that again I think kameko's performance was even better than I originally thought, he had quite a bit of interference that took him off balance but still went on to win

I think Pinatubo's a talented colt that still has a whole lot of upside. He'll likely rebound from this loss pretty quickly and go on to win multiple big races yet provided he remains sound and injury free. That said, this will hopefully stop the ridiculous he's "like Frankel" or he's the "next Frankel" comments I've been seeing all over the web in abundance, and maybe help those people put the difference between the two into perspective. Pinatubo's a very talented, very gifted horse. Frankel was a freak of nature machine. Pinatubo blew the doors off some decent Coolmore 2YO at the Curragh. Guess Pinatubo isn't as good as people make him out to be.

I'm not saying that he isn't any good, because....he is. He's brilliant, I just think this might be the start of minor placing or even non-placing. It's happened before and it'll probably happen again.

Pinatubo had never ran on good-to-firm so that could be an issue, The first two home had ran well on the ground before.

You can clearly see Pinatubo hadn’t been trained to his peak fitness for this..if Henry Cecil was still alive and was given Pinatubo to train..you would have see the difference between a master trainer and a mediocre trainer. Henry Cecil greatest trainer ever..R.I.P.
