Ilya please get a better production team. As a film student I can tell the video production quality wasn’t done well. The color grading made it seem extremely low quality when I know it could be done with free editing softwares. The camera angles weren’t executed well either and made it seem cheap.

Ya'll are overly criticizing not meeting Iliya where she is. This is literally her first video! it sucks as artists people will always pick and tear apart, what can be better instead of accepting the final product. I'm sure the artist is just as aware as the audience and will take notes for the next one but I'm so proud and the dancing was amazing. A star is in the building people! lighting and great camera angles will come after that! my god you guys can be insufferably critical. just reach out to her directly if you truly want to contribute help being apart of the journey. Musicians make MUSIC new artists should not be expected utter perfection and high production at all times it's not realistic plain and simple. I get yall's point but it's more critical than constructive food for thought.

yes it looks a bit like a school project...but i genuinely think that adds to the charm of the song? and i feel like the lyrics are good too--each line is dripping with satire and i like the way she says "influenza". if it is just her and her friends making the video, i think that's kinda refreshing in a world where everything you put out has to be this super-professional, sometimes corporate-like, work

I’m sorry, but your production team failed you so bad. Not to be a know-it-all (🤓☝🏾), but as a film student, I’ve worked with with numerous cameras, audio mixing, lighting, editing, color correction, writing, and mostly all areas of production (except gaffing), so I can say that the problem isn’t money, it’s that the people she hired have no idea what they’re doing. Lower quality cameras need more lighting because the aperture does not go low or high enough so it makes it dark and the focus is not that good, which can be compensated for with lighting kits which seem non-existent. Using natural sun or fluorescent light then racking up the ISO too high makes it look grainy, especially if you rely on natural sunlight. Cheaper cameras are no ideal, but given a lower budget, it can work if you understand how the camera works and picks up light. The lighting is nonexistent. The dancing shot looks like a home workout video bc the framing and lighting are weird. There’s weird, random shots, too many jump cuts with no clear editing technique. There’s no color correction and I can tell because it’s a gray tint throughout. The framing is super weird in almost every shot because there’s hardly any head room. This is a MESS

Think about timeless songs like "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verbe or "What's Up" by 4 Non Blondes, their videos were simple, yet the music spoke for itself and became iconic. It's only natural for many artists to explore, find their style and start with minimal resources. Every great journey starts somewhere, and learning and growth come along the way. I admire that you took the risk to do you own thing, staying true to yourself instead of trying to fit into what's expected. It's so refreshing to see an artist who dares to explore and create without relying on flashing visuals. This song sticks with me, and that's what really matters. Well done Iliya!
