Nia had just as much emotion and acting skills as maddie. If she had a teacher who really invested in her technique, she would have been unstoppable. Holly was so honest, but i always wish she had snuck off and gotten her additional lessons.

not only did she win, but she got a 296. that’s really proves that’s if nia was given the opportunity (and a good costume, music, and story) that she could pull ahead and be a winner. abby just didn’t often give her winning numbers

That side eye and snicker from Ashlee immediately after Nia's solo ended, along with Abby's disappointment and forced smile after Nia won, all spoke volumes regarding the way everyone always counted out and underestimated Nia. The best revenge against haters is to show up and show out! Years later, I still love watching this solo.

Dr. Holly and Nia were always way too classy for that crowd.

when Nia was given good choreography and enough attention from Abby, she was incredible on stage. this solo, Maya Angelou solo, and her performance “no matter what” are absolutely stunning

Not only did Nia win, she almost got a perfect score!!! 296! Very impressive. Job well done Nia. I remember when you couldn’t even place and now your first with almost a perfect score! Everyone knew you could do it Nia!!!

The fact that this took place in season seven and Nia still feels like she has to prove to Abby that she can actually dance makes me so mad because Nia has ALWAYS been able to dance and deserved so much better

Wow. Just wow. I love watching Nia grow into such a beautiful dancer.

And I just want to say, her technique was almost perfect. Her acting was phenomenal. I wish she had more opportunities to show how far she really has come.

Nia was always a winner. Abby just didn’t like that she was a different skin colour and physically stronger then the other girls. So sad because Nia is a beautiful and talented dancer. She deserved so much better, I hope she’s doing well now.

Nia is a specific type of dancer. Good technique, great emotion, just different way of movement. And when you cheorgraph cattering to the way she dances, this is what u get, a great dance

Abby always said she wanted the next “Maddie” and that she was always looking for her, but Nia was right in front of her. If she was given good and beautiful performances she would have been the star.

That back roll into a split was on point. I feel when she dances, her emotion is there. The most aggressive underestimated dancer on the show, my opinion

i wish she would’ve gotten more attention when she was younger, she had so much potential she just needed a little bit more 1 on 1 time like maddie had. she grew to be an amazing dancer though :)

This has to be one of my favorite Nia solos. If only Abby had given Nia the attention she deserved and gave her more solos like this it would've changed everything.
