Had a fjr 1300, nice bike. By the way I didn't get nicked speeding, nothing came in the post😊. I'm more than happy with my k1600, nothing can touch on performance and power on a touring bike. Safe riding dude.👍

Brought my k1600 from Balderstone in 2015. Had a pan 1300, great bike but weren't going to update. The revised goldwing no, I'm not ready for the armchair yet. Love the k1600, just missed out on reverse. What a machine. Great video dude.😁👍

Really enjoyable review. You didn't mention what happened to the end of the clutch lever and 6 years of ownership and one fog light still doesn't work. I'm now one of your 75K subscribers.

Great review, this inline 6 is butter smooth, it’s unbelievable. I test drove the 2023 model today, K1600 GT. In 2 minutes I felt right at home, and I’ve never been on a BMW bike before, the sales person recommended I run out the 350 kilometres of gas the tank had left 😂. I wish but no way, since they had taken my visa before the test drive, just in case something was to happen. I have never, ever, in the past 18 years of riding motorcycles rode one without the proper moto GP outfit/gear. Frankly, I could not believe the sales person utter the words, ” I wish you can test drive the bike but you have no helmet.” I was like what! But this is the best motorcycle and motorcycle gear store in the country 🇨🇦 . So after 15 minutes I was hooked, on the highway I felt like I was on a jetski, the bike is so planted, effortless and it was on rain mode. It had rained a few prior, just to get to the store, it was a 150 kilometre drive for me. So I could not turn down his welcoming offer. So easy to ride, I honestly felt the nimbleness of my Gxsr 750 and beyond the power of my 109R. Just superior in every way. Smooth like Michael jackson moonwalk, like the, ” Luke, I’m you father 🤣. Wow just amazing. The one think I didn’t Ike was when a trelease the throttle, I felt some kind of engine braking. That I found weird. I assume it was because of the mode I was on.

Ride safe everyone. I pray to God one day I can get the 2023 model GLT, for the wife and I.

Enjoyed your video on k1600. Got mine in 2015, 1200 miles on the clock when purchased. Big service around a grand this year, not the cheapest bike to have. Another down side is your license, unfortunately i got caught a week ago, waiting on that letter through the post😟 third time in 6 years. Had a pan for years if they had continued the bike i would of probably got one. Goldwing i want to try but a big old bike and expensive to buy. Never had issues with using oil. Thought i might change the windscreen when carrying pilons get a lot of buffeting. But hay what a bike, i love it. Ride safe dude. 👍😁

I've been a cruiser guy for nearly 20 years now, and I've been looking at getting a more comfortable long-haul type bike. Several years ago I had a friend of mine, a motorcycle state policeman, mention he would get a BMW if he had his pick. My in-laws have been long term Goldwing riders. I've watched several videos on the K1600, but this video has convinced me. Time to get away from the good ol' American V Twin and upgrade. Besides, my middle aged body is getting too old to take all the bumps nowadays. Thanks for the good content! By the way, the blurring of the speedo is a good editing trick, lol!

I would never buy a BMW car, but their motorcycles are just tops. I’m even keen on the older twins. Beautiful road your on 👍

I've had my 2012 GTL for almost three years now. I've had a faulty ignition coil, a leaky water pump (just stain on the heat shield, no where near causing me any trouble), a cam chain rattle, and oil consumption (0.3~0.4L every 1000 miles). I still love this bike every time I go on a thousand-mile trip.

This was massively commentary on the bikes maintenance expenses were interesting. MORE! MORE!
Showing us some of your UK countryside was very different from what I am used to seeing here in the States. Please feel free to include a lot more of that in your future

Great review. Love the sound track of that beautiful 6, sounds like a Formula 1🤩. Any desire to change the wind screen or seat?

I had a K1200 for 10 years, and loved it. The engine was like an electric motor, quiet, smooth and pulled in any gear. It sounds like the K1600 engine is similar.

I have always been drawn to these incredible machines but ultimately always put off by the bikes bulk for when (for example) you get up into the gnarly twisty narrow lanes of the Scottish Highlands.
Nonetheless, if I had room for a 4th bike in my garage this would be a strong contender for that last space....Enjoyed watching this, and as such I have subscribed, not only because I enjoyed it, but also because just lately it seems everyone 'vlogging' seems to have a West Yorkshire accent and I frequently cannot understand half of what is being said by-gum ay-up, bar-tat, pass thee watta, reet-greet...

I traded my K1600B in for a full tour DCT Honda Gold Wing. I still miss the agility and performance of the Bagger!

Great review. I appreciate your honesty and enthusiasm. I fancied a K1600 but finally opted for a 2018 FJR1300 which is awesome. Nice twisty roads you were riding. I recognised Kimbolton. What other places did you pass through? Is that a Simon Weir route you followed? Safe riding dude.
