Kim Vilfort who scored the final goal of the tournament, had a six year old daughter fighting leukemia back home. Between Denmark's second and third match Vilfort was back in the Copenhagen hospital because of his daughters condition. Line died of Leukemia six weeks later 💔❣
28 years later Kim Vilfort is still very involved in the fight against cancer.

Denmark, lucky to get in as they didn't initially qualify but scraped in due to the Yugoslavia situation and Denmark being in the same group even though lreland quite rightly protested that they had a better record during qualification and should have gone through.
