My son is 21 months. He will not imitate immediately after we say something. It’s like he puts it in his pocket and saves it for later. We get a couple new words every other day. He probably has about 70 words that he uses. The only thing developmentally that seems to be lacking is this imitation thing. How can I help him figure out this skill at home? We keep going back-and-forth about having him evaluated for a spectrum disorder and/or speech issue or just keep working with him. His receptive language skills are fantastic. He very much understands what’s going on and what’s being said. I feel like his inquisitive little mind would enjoy what he could learn if he could utilize the concept of mimicking. We do not yet have words like me my and I.

Hello Mam.. I am not an English speaker.. My wife is going to give birth in April 2017. We want him/her to speak English. We can speak to him in English but our accent is not very good and also pronunciation of many words are not accurate.. Can you suggest something in this matter.
