Hey I don’t understand why you use the ground, isn’t the glow plug grounded to the block already? Aren’t we suppose to use the red wire? I need to try this on my tractor and I was thinking of just touching a wire from the battery’s positive terminal to the flow plug. Plz help and thank you

I tried this, it sparked and all, but when I went to turn the key the truck would not turned over and sounded like it was dead, batteries have over 12 volts any ideas what it could be?
