In many cultures the darker people are seen as poor because they are the ones that work out in the field, the farmers especially in Asia. Lighter skinned people are the ones who can afford not to work a day get to stay inside all day. It is the same way in slavery, in black culture still to this day there is intercultural discrimination against light skinned and dark skinned people. Sad to see because I love different colors of skin it truly is so genuinely beautiful. ❤

Its allways surprising to me when people are so surprised by this concept since white people tried to be whiter for the exact same reasons (whiter skin screams im not out in the sun all day, im upper class)… its simply that other regions of the world still have that mentality that has gone out of date in europe but at the same time has been replaced by the urge to go to tanning studios (to show you were on vacation etc)

Eygyptian girl I went to boarding school with in NJ was a bit insane about not having body hair. She used Neat all over herself. She was a beautiful girl. Came from an oppressive society. She luved a Muslim man she herself was Christian.

It's sad but it's an asian thing, poor people used to work in the fields, Japan, Korean, Chinese, that's why, but it happens also in India, and like they always say, the "brown" asians are from the jungle, something that shouldn't be an insult.
