Years ago I was visiting Yellowstone and particularly the Grand Prismatic hot springs. Along the wooden walkways, there were several signs warning about the dangers and that people have been killed from falling into the superheated water. There was a couple in front of me who seem amused by it and when a park ranger happened to walk by, the woman asked the ranger in a flippant tone when was the last time someone actually fell into the hot spring and died. The ranger replied, "We had a fatality just yesterday, " Boy, did that change her demeanor.
