Right On!!! One thing i feel has a huge factor that not many see. Goku actually likes getting hit and hard. It almost seems like he gets off on the harder he gets hit. That is what pushes him to get stronger. That is why i feel Goku is having trouble obtaining True Ultra Instinct. Subconsciously he knows if he does get to that point, he will never be hit again. Then he will never Know if he even needs to get stronger. Think about it if no one can hit him he will never know how strong they truly are. Side note DO NOT ever call Akira Toriyama a dule writer. He is the author and creator of the best show to ever bless any screen.

Goku with Ultra Instinct, it was always shown to be a mindset, where it is said to be "Movement without the mind." Merus in the Moro Arc even stated that Ultra Instinct is the opposite of how Super Saiyan is, who you cannot use rage or any emotions when using Ultra Instinct, itbis in fact, the opposite of that. And Goku... I don't even think that I have to explain, Goku grew up on Earth and was taught his morals and beliefs from his friends and experiences, like learning mercy from Android 8 and different things like that, and Goku will go and save people and face people like Frieza and Buu who were killing people because of his morals and beliefs. I personally don't believe that Goku will ever truly master Ultra Instinct, I mean, he will still have it and evolve it to become better and better, but in terms of true mastery, I don't think that Goku will ever achieve that, because with how strong his sense of morality and him defending people and his character being all pure and his beliefs and feelings when it comes to people and hurting others, just as he learned growing up and everything that he has been through, Goku being a mortal and being raised on Earth and taught right from wrong and everything else like that, Goku is an emotional being/person. Goku is not just going to throw away or ignore his feeling and emotions, especially if people are getting hurt, just for an upgrade in Ultra Instinct, it's just too much to ask for from Goku. We saw this in the Granola arc where Goku chose to use Ultra Instinct Sigh/Omen to fight Gas because he said that his heart needs to be calm in order to fully use Mastered Ultra Instinct, but hsi heart is not calm when he was fighting Gas. When the Angels use Ultra Instinct, it is said taht they are always in the Ultra Instinct state, but the angels for the most part are emotionless beings, because with the Angel law they are supposed to be unbiased, and Vados and Whis are largely emtionless, like if a planet gets destroyed, "Oh well." If a universe gets erased, "Oh well." Even some of the Angels in the Tournament of Power, how some seemed sad about their universe getting erased, but for the most part the rest of the Angels were emotionless and didn't care if their universe got erased, and that is how Angels are. Mortals have their own beliefs and morality like with Goku and what he was taught on Earth to be right and wrong and eveeything, Goku is just not that way. Imagine if Goku is using MUI and someone kills a city of people, or if someone hurts or kills Goku's friends and family like Krillin or Pan or others, then Goku is not going to be calm and emotionless, he is going to feel some type of way about it, and that will disrupt his MUI as he cannot be that way, or have that mindset when using Ultra Instinct. That is why I believe that Goku will never truly master Ultra Instinct, he will still have it, but he will never actually master it.

Interesting theory....I would however like you to consider the fact that all divine techniques requires very good Kei control which would ultimately help Goku hone his Ultra Instinct more towards his Saiyan essence. Look at the first time Goku used the Kaioken on-top of Blue how it messed him up...but fast forward a few chapters to where that combination no longer affects him in that way. So having said this I believe Goku will continue to evolve his Ultra Instinct to new heights; we may even see Goku regrows his tail to further tap into his Saiyan nature (OOzaru) and merge it with the power of

Good thing is there’s Dragon Balls so if Goku dies they can just wish him back. They even have more than 1 set of Dragon Balls to use.

Goku hit his head and got brain damage when Grandpa Gohan dropped him. That’s when his personality changed. It’s in the beginning of the original Dragonball series. Also master Roshi and his sister have eternal life (can’t die from age)

i think the trick is for goku to combine primal rage and devine calmness into some kind of righteous fury - a fury that relies on protecting others.

thast what differs in vegeta and goku very much: vegeta gets mostly triggered his fury by his pride - while goku typically enrages in protective manners.

i dont think goku will fall for primal sayan rage at all.
