Why has Gravity Rush Remastered (PS4) Dropped so much in Value? [Retronomics]

Gravity Rush Remastered for the PlayStation 4 has been hard to find physically since 2017. The price peaked around $143 during the 2020 pandemic. But the Game price has been falling ever since. What Changed?
It appears that Gamestop is reprinting Gravity Rush Remastered and selling them for $69.99

Do you own an original copy of Gravity Rush Remastered? Are you concerned with the influx of copies? Let me know if there are other games like this!

It's definitely dirty what Gamestop is doing selling some of these as used to get around MSRP, but I'm happy at the very least that somebody out there is at least getting more copies made.

Would love to see reprints of older generations lol, would save lots of $ if

Ohh boi, it's $56 on GameStop website atm. GameStop's definitely reprinting GRR copies and I think people are starting to notice this practice from them. Hence why the price dropped.
Glad that I snagged a NA copy for just $18 from a local store yesterday instead of ordering from them

I found 2 in an estate sale for $2 each one sealed and one open. Both look to be originals since the guy who had them stopped collecting since 2016 or so.

That's crazy. I got Gravity Remastered Physical Version New Sealed in Australia for $20 AUD in Late 2018. I'd never pay what these sellers are asking now.

Wait, so GameStop is purposely opening up new versions of the game so that they can sell it at a higher used price? That's effed up

I ordered this on a whim from Amazon when it was being offered for $20. I already had the PS Vita version, but thought I'd get it anyway in case I decided to play it on the big screen sometime. I still have it sealed since I already played the handheld version, and the second game in the series came out on the PS4 shortly thereafter. As far as an investment, it's nice to know that if I needed to sell for some reason I could get my initial investment back on it, but not my main concern at this point- like all of my other games, I buy them because I like them. What makes me a little sad is that Gravity Rush 2 didn't seem to sell a whole lot of copies, well as far as Sony's concerned anyway, so the prospect of seeing a third entry in the franchise seems slim at this point.

I almost got lured into buying an expensive used copy of Gravity Rush Remastered (before the reprints) because part 1 is one of my favorite games of all-time, but ultimately, I feel the experience on the Vita is superior and I'm glad to own it on there, instead.
I fell into the trap of buying the reprint of Xenoblade Chronicles for $90 before I knew about their reprint schemes and felt dirty about it, so I'm glad I dodged it this time. Pretty disgusting what a company can get away with when they virtually have a monopoly on the industry.

As a fan of the Vita version, I picked this up when it first came out and I thought it was very peculiar how hard it was to find even on release. Major chains like Walmart and Target didn’t have em IIRC

R.I.P to those people who bought it for $140 lol

thank God for me this happened. Didn't GameStop do this with the fatal frame trilogy back in the late PS2 days

2023 here and gravity rush remastered ps4 is around $70 still or higher these are Chinese PS4 copies on eBay. Tbh I don’t care since I’m more into digital these days. Gravity Rush Remastered is available on PSN US region for $30 and currently it’s on sale for $15. Of course physical lovers say they want something in hand…okay expect to double or triple prices that’s how it’s always been and even though I’m more digital. If I want a physical copy of something I already know I’m paying premium when digitally is available for way cheaper…that’s how it be now.

When this game originally released, does anyone know if this was a GameStop exclusive? I remember that being the case with Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii.

I’d love for the price to drop down to $20

Found 2 of these at an estate sale for $2 each one sealed and one opened. Will it continue to go up in value?

Just interesting how legal is it to sell reprints? If GameStop is doing this who else can? Also is GameStop collecting 100% of the profit for this game?
