Wait so you're saying that Sloppy Toppy is your favorite track on the album yet complain about the entire album having a "generic trap sound" to it?? Sloppy Toppy is the main song on the album that gives off that "trap sound" And Drugs You Should Try is the main song on the Album that doesn't give the "trap hood vibe" yet you say that's your least favorite song. You completely contradicted yourself with this review.

This review is 1000% wrong. Days Before Rodeo was a very good mixtape to me. I will tell you why.
1. The production was amazing
2.His flow was fitting to the beats.
3. Good features (Migos, Rich Homie, Young Thug, Big Sean)
4.(Biggest Reason) He has a VERY Original sound.

Travis Scott has created his own style of music. With the distorted synths and high hats, he makes his beats sound different. Then on top of that, he has a flow that I personally have never heard before. And I am 10000% certain Travis Scott has the best ad-libs in rap ( That's the "Straight Up!" And "La Flame!" In the background). Travis is underappreciated because he's different. He's an artist in every sense of the word. This is easily the best Mixtape of 2014.

I love how he says it’s a good thing Travis isn’t producing his own songs here, and than fast forward to utopia, he produced almost every song and they sound incredible and he made a great album

Be more open minded...you have an older perspective and that is all. This is easily one of the best tapes from 2014. This is coming from a person that LOVES Kendrick and Joey but this album balances out the thought provoking hip hop in my library.


The lyrics alone arent supposed to be lyrical. But the whole project once it comes together kind of puts you in a trance. Great beats, good music.
